Massdrop retcons Matt3o's keycap profile name

Drop introduces a new profile called MT2, which is just a ripoff of Cherry profile. Of course, they didn't let Matt3o (who created the MT3 profile) about it, leaving him to wonder "What the hell is MT2?", because "Drop did that without telling me shit"

Matt3o had come up with the name of the MT3 profile prior to working with Drop, but now Drop has bastardized the MT prefix to mean that it's one of their profiles and as a shoutout to MiTo.

In response, Matt3o replies with: "@Jyri_Drop this is the last straw of corporate bullshit I can take. And it's sad that some fall for it... Congratulation @Jyri_Drop you managed to get rid of me. I'm leaving. Ciao"

Massdrop buys Geekhack

After being approached by a Canadian company to buy Geekhack for $10k, iMav offers the forum for sale to the first offer of $15k, preferring it to be kept in the hands of a community member. Zeal from ZealPC puts in an offer, but the deal falls through as a much higher offer was put in by a Chinese company. iMav tells Zeal that a number of offers greater than $40k came in and would like to pay off personal debt issues, so Zeal offers $30k.

After a couple days of rumors, it is revealed that Massdrop ended up being the party who bought Geekhack (price currently undisclosed). No immediate changes planned, but who knows what will happen in the future.

Massdrop has sent customer 4 Ergodox right halves

Each time Massdrop tries to send a replacement left-hand PCB, they still get it wrong and send a right-hand one. Customer now has 4 right-hand PCBs.

Massdrop sends everyone in the XD60/XD64 drop the wrong plate

According to the discussions, Massdrop made a mistake and shipped 2u plates to 2.25u buyers and vice versa (the labels are correct but all the plates are wrong), after delaying the drop without notifying buyers. No one has received a correct replacement plate yet, and they're starting another drop...

GMK Yuri Shipping Failure

DHL updated the tracking as 'Item Undeliverable- Returned to Sender', and Massdrop told customer they couldn't contact DHL, so they gave a full refund instead. So much for waiting for 7 months.

Massdestruction of XDA Canvas Set

Customs agents contact Massdrop for payment of customs fees since they listed themselves on the packaging as the contacts. Massdrop refuses to communicate with the customs agents at all, meaning the goods are either returned or destroyed. Per Massdrop's agreements with DHL, they chose to have goods that encounter this issue destroyed. Customs agents tell the buyer that they've encountered this issue with Massdrop packages multiple times before.

Outer Spacebars with warping and holes

Massdrop ships the Outer Spacebar, and several users report that they receive one or both of the spacebars in the two-pack significantly warped, so much that they are unable to put them on their keyboards. One user's spacebar even has a hole in it.

Massdrop Loses My Planck Keyboard - After 8 months of waiting

From customer: "Ordered a Planck back in mid march, it gets delayed several times (as we well know) and then the courier they sent it with failed to deliver it when it was out for delivery and instead sent it back to Assdrop. This was 3 weeks ago yet they still can't find it because it apparently hasn't made it back to their warehouse when the initial delivery exception was several weeks ago. At least they refunded me but I still want my damn keyboard"

[buying] XD75 Custom Mechanical Keyboard Kit on Massdrop

Massdrop tries to sell the XD75RE for $90, when it can be obtained immediately for about $70 via AliExpress or Taobao. They also inflated the MSRP to $129.99 to make it seem like a good deal. Shame on Massdrop.

I knew massdrop was bad. I didn't expected it to be that bad.

Customer's payment for Carbon gets flagged, so the order got cancelled. Massdrop doesn't let him back into the drop and offers a crappy $20 coupon so he can get ripped off again in the future.

Massdrop OLKB planck delayed due to FCC regulation.

Despite being asked about FCC certification for the Planck by someone in their forums many weeks in advance, Massdrop shakes off the question and gets busted later on when they realize that have to do testing to meet FCC standards.
